Girls Can Code with its partner AddictLab organized on April 19-22 2022 a technology and sustainability camp at the Credit Suisse CoLAB at the EPFL Rolex Learning Center in Lausanne
Girls and kids between 8 and 15 years old experienced several kinds of advanced technologies, from robots to drones to augmented reality and the metaverse.
The kids used fantasy and innovation on several challenges, in the attempt to save our planet and made everybody aware of the fragile conditions we all live in. They used several skills, from programming to building, carving, 3D modeling/printing and fast flying. Augmented reality supported them discover the various hidden challenges and succeed in their mission.
The Credit Suisse CoLab
The Credit Suisse CoLab is a very modern space to organize events and workshops. It is located in the heart of the Rolex Learning Center at the EPFL in Lausanne. For more details, please refer to the following:

The Activities
The event focused on Environment, Sustainability and Technology. Kids were introduced to sustainability topics via Design Thinking workshops. They learned how to program and how to use robotics for a sustainable human environment. They played with electricity kits, hovercrafts and programmed robots in a challenge to save the planet. They were also introduced to virtual realities such as Metaverse and learn about NTF and Ethereum.
